Andrew Schulz is broadcasting being tactless and racist again
Questionable comedian switched from complaining about dating black women to complaining about Kendrick Lamar
I will find Carmen Sandiego and Waldo hanging out in the same bar before I’ll ever find a black woman doing a double take at the sight of Andrew Schulz. I’ve never even met one online, so Andrew Schulz was the last person on my mind when I heard Kendrick Lamar’s “wacced out murals.” I do recall writing this post “The Pivot Podcast hosts check Andrew Schulz on 'the black girlfriend effect’” a couple of months ago, and I still forgot all about the man once again. So when the recent uproar about Kendrick Lamar’s “GNX” song initiated another one of Schulz’s rants, I ignored it at first.

I definitely took note of Kendrick Lamar rapping, “Don’t let no white comedian talk about no Black woman, that’s law” on “wacced out murals,” but I was 99.9% sure he was talking about Gary Owen, who went on and on and on at every single millisecond of his interview at Club Shay Shay to bring up Amanda Seales.

The only time Owen strayed away from talking about Seales was to insult Mo’Nique — another black woman — and then circle back to Seales again. That “Insecure” actress is living in his head more rent-free than the “monkey” criminal in the opener of Alex Cross. (If you have no idea what that reference means, support Aldis Hodge’s latest work after you finish reading this. He’s incredible and startlingly handsome.) For a man who swears he loves black women, Owen sure did have a whole lot of criticism for them, all while gleefully bragging about having biracial kids.

But here comes Charlamagne tha God’s friend trying to outweird an already-weird interview. From that one line in the “GNX” song, Schulz has decided he wants to rape Kendrick Lamar.
Wait … what?
Not only is this beyond pitiful as a joke, but how many lessons do you need to learn about the man from Compton? Shouldn’t “Not Like Us” have taught damn near everybody to just leave Kendrick Lamar alone? And I’m saying that as someone who is very much still a fan of Drake’s music (even with the sore-loser lawsuit going on)? I think Drake needs to take notes from Jay Z and Meek Mill, both of which held L’s in their own rap beefs, and came right back out on top. They even did collaborations with their rap rivals when the dust settled.

But Schulz has neither the talent, the charm and definitely NOT the looks of anyone who should be speaking on black women (or Kendrick) at all. Sadly, Schulz keeps proving tumbleweed is just rolling around in his skull damn near every time he talks. Even with Owen’s ramblings about Seales, we know two black women who were clearly attracted to him — Kenya Owen and Wendy Williams. Schulz? I know of none.
I don’t know if this is going to be a new trend trailing into 2025 when the equally empty-headed man heads back to the White House, but making black women a punchline is always a horrendous move.
